Born and raised in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, Ja’Mea is a proud native with deep Louisiana roots. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2018 and is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor at Southern University Law Center, where she is expected to graduate in May 2026.
During her time at Southern, Ja’Mea has demonstrated a strong commitment to mentorship and academic excellence, serving on the Board of Student Advisors for the 2024–2025 academic year. Through this leadership role, she has supported fellow law students in honing their legal writing and advocacy skills while further developing her own passion for the law.
Ja’Mea’s long-term goal is to pursue a career as a Criminal Law Attorney once she successfully passes the bar exam. She is deeply motivated by a desire to protect the rights of individuals, ensure justice is fairly administered, and make a positive impact within her community through dedicated legal advocacy.
Outside of her legal pursuits, Ja’Mea is a proud girl and dog mom who enjoys spending her spare time reading true crime and making lasting memories with her fiancé, daughter, and bonus boys.
