Born and raised in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, Johnae’ learned early the value of community, resilience, and speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Those roots shaped her passion for justice and set the foundation for a career devoted to advocacy.
Johnae’ earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Louisiana State University in 2019, a degree that strengthened her communication skills and deepened her ability to connect with people. Driven by a lifelong desire to help others navigate difficult moments, she went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in 2022. While in law school, she participated in the Mediation Clinic, where she assisted individuals in resolving disputes fairly and respectfully. This experience reinforced her commitment to serving others with clarity, empathy, and conviction.
Throughout her academic and professional journey, Johnae’ worked at the Louisiana State Capitol and later served as a judicial law clerk. She gained invaluable experience working alongside several Honorable Pro Tempore Judges and an elected judge, handling criminal, juvenile, family, and civil matters. Her time inside the courtroom deepened her understanding of the judicial system and strengthened her belief that every person deserves a fair opportunity for their rights to be acknowledged and protected.
Beyond her legal work, Johnae’ has remained deeply involved in her community. She has participated in public speaking engagements and supported various nonprofit organizations focused on uplifting and empowering others. Her dedication to service reflects her belief in giving back to the communities that helped shape her.
As an attorney, Johnae’ is known for her outgoing personality, her strong communication skills, and her genuine commitment to building positive, trusting relationships with her clients. She approaches each case with integrity and intention, advocating with both compassion and fire.
Johnae’ is also a proud mother to her active young daughter, who keeps her busy with dance, competition cheer, swimming, and T ball. In her personal life, she enjoys traveling, attending community events, shopping, and making unforgettable memories with her daughter and their dog- Benji.
